NanoTech Laboratory wins the 2025 Eureka Prize (The "Oscar of Science" in Australia)

We are thrilled to share that Dr Jayden Chen and A/Prof. Noushin Nasiri (together with Prof. Shujuan Huang) have won the 2025 ANSTO Eureka Prize for Innovative Use of Technology.

It was also an extraordinary night for Macquarie University, which won five Eureka Prizes in total. What a night!!

This national recognition celebrates the team’s breakthrough in developing a cheaper and more efficient nanosensor technology using a low-temperature joining approach with non-toxic vinegar.

The innovation has exciting potential for smart and wearable sensing systems, including applications in skin cancer risk monitoring and livestock health.
